Dirkse CC offers the renowned, WINDMILLS: Changing the Perception of Ability. This interactive training focuses on attitudes and human factors such as bias and fear about hiring and supervising people with disabilities, while addressing concerns including legal requirements and accommodation. The modules consist of exercises relevant to the everyday world of work to which participants can relate and then remember on the job. The WINDMILLS program also incorporates language and requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A reasonable accommodation is assistance or changes to a position or workplace that will enable an employee to do his or her job despite having a disability. Under the ADA, employers are required to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified employees with disabilities, unless doing so would pose an undue hardship.
