About Dirkse Counseling & Consulting
Dirkse Counseling and Consulting, Inc. was founded by Heidi Dirkse-Graw, MS, CRC, LPC in 1997. Today, Dirkse employs over twenty professional counselors, consultants and coaches who serve the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Her team of professional counselors/consultants, employment specialists, and job coaches are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality care to help people and business meet their specific goals in life, in the workplace and in relationships.
Support Professionals
Dirkse Counseling and Consulting is a team of developed support professionals encompassing Counselors, Employment Specialists, and Job Coaches. Our team of professionals receive significant education and training on communication, behavior, and effective supports, highlighting the individual support needs of the person. Our diverse team of counselors work diligently to build a client-clinician relationship while identifying and collaborating with clients to establish potential solutions to problems. Employment specialists take clients on a journey to discover the client interests, skills, and individual career goals that lead to successful integrated employment. Job coaches provide on-site support to individuals in job retention and long-term support programs. Through modeling, direct instruction, and social support, coaches are able to accommodate individual’s needs, and act as a bridge between the employee and the employer.

Employment Specialist
We are actively seeking individuals who believe in helping people obtain competitive integrated employment. Supporting clients in all aspects of the employment cycle (i.e., resume writing, interviewing, etc.), utilizing people skills to develop relationships with employers in the community.
Job Coach Professional
Our job coaches support clients at their place of employment. Support needs range from learning the skills required for a new job, building the soft skills needed for interactions with coworkers and customers, to creating personalized job aides for clients to utilize at work. In all cases, our coaches strive to help clients reach a level of independence in their employment by actively fostering healthy working-relationships with peers.
